Meeting Discussion:
This meeting will cover the current status, transmission dynamics, and control measures related to Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza, a serious viral disease that affects both domestic and wild bird populations. We will review recent outbreaks, discuss implications for poultry production, public health risks, and provide updates on surveillance strategies and biosecurity protocols.

Dr. Jessica Hockaday, DVM, MS
Dr. Hockaday completed a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science at California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, California. She then attended veterinary school at Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California. Following graduation, Dr. Hockaday completed a 2-year residency in poultry health and diagnostics while simultaneously receiving her Masters in Science from Mississippi State University. Dr. Hockaday has worked with poultry producers large and small on managing health, biosecurity, and welfare in the field as a production veterinarian. Dr. Hockaday currently lives in Alabama with her husband, son, Brussels Griffon, Koi, and goldfish!
This event will start at 6:30pm. There will be 30 minutes of networking and the 1 hour presentation will start at 7:00pm.
There will be a buffet dinner and each RSVP or Ticket will include 2 drinks.
