President- Dr. Howard Asher

Dr. Howard Asher graduated from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2004. He grew up in Norwalk, CT and attended the University of Massachusetts where he majored in pre-veterinarian studies. During his college years, Dr. Asher was an officer in the University of Massachusetts’s Outing Club. In this position, he led many activities such as hiking, caving, and canoeing.

Vice President- Dr. Emily Rothstein

Dr. Rothstein graduated with honors from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine in 1988. Dr. Rothstein completed her dermatology residency at Cornell University in 1997 and was awarded diplomate status (board-certification) in the American College of Veterinary Dermatology® (ACVD) in 1998. She founded Animal Allergy and Dermatology Service of Connecticut, LLC and retired from that in 2022 after 25 years. Dr. Rothstein has been actively involved in the ACVD for over 20 years on the ACVD Board of Directors for 10 years, an Administrator of www.acvd.org , and currently on the ACVD Advisory Board of Directors. She holds a position on the Administrative Council for the World Association for Veterinary Dermatology (WAVD) and completing her 5 year term as the Secretary for the World Congress of Veterinary Dermatology 10 (WCVD10) at the end of 2024. Dr. Rothstein enjoys being a writer contributing to VIN (Veterinary Information Network) and consulting for VESPECON.

Treasurer- Dr. Monica Dijanic

A native New Yorker, Dr. Dijanic (aka Dr. Monica), moved to Connecticut in 2006. She got her start as a teenager over 20 years ago first as a kennel assistant then as a veterinary technician in Brooklyn, NY where she grew up. Dr. Monica has strong interests in internal medicine, feline medicine, senior care, and integrative medicine. She successfully completed the Integrative Veterinary Medical Institute’s Veterinary Medical Manipulation course in 2018 and is a Certified Veterinary Medical Manipulation Practitioner. She lives in Vernon with her husband and her four dogs, Wilson, Lady Rowan, Sugar, and Autumn, and her four cats, Aries, Corwin, Orion, and Tiberius. When not snuggled up with a dog, cat, and book, you're likely to find her at yoga or a Hartford Wolfpack game.

Secretary- Dr. Diva Malinowski Green

Dr. Diva Malinowski Green is the Medical Director at VCA Old Canal Animal Hospital in Plainville, Connecticut. She has worked at VCA Old Canal since 2018 and is originally from Newington, CT. Dr. Green went on a cross-country journey to kickstart her veterinary journey graduating from North Dakota State University in Fargo, ND and then moved to Southern California to graduate from Western University of Health Sciences College of Veterinary Medicine in 2016. Dr. Green is a Certified Veterinary Medical Acupuncturist. She has been featured in the news for her acupuncture work with giraffe at Roger William Park Zoo in Providence, RI. She currently volunteers for Mystic Aquarium as an acupuncturist for their penguin collection. In her spare time, Dr. Green enjoys cooking and spending time with her son, husband, and her very large family (she has 21 cousins!).
