“The Wonderful World of Cannabinoids in Small Animal Practice “

This presentation will cover some of the most practical considerations for integrating hemp cannabinoids into a small animal practice. The importance of a thorough research foundation for establishing appropriate formulations and dosing practices will be addressed. Differences in absorption and bioavailability of specific cannabinoids will be discussed. Clinical data will serve to highlight the practical impact of differing formulations. Finally, the talk will include a discussion of measures to ensure quality and consistency of cannabinoid products.

Bob Menardi DVM, is Senior Director of Veterinary Education with ElleVet Sciences. He leads the company’s comprehensive veterinary technical education and outreach programs, and serves as the subject matter expert for members of the veterinary profession. Dr. Menardi has worked in the veterinary medical cannabinoid arena since 2019, with key roles in education, commercialization, and research and development. He frequently consults with clinical and academic veterinarians on the applications of cannabinoids in veterinary medicine.
